Description
SDM MUL S is used in invert emulsion (oil-based) systems as a secondary emulsifier. It is designed to emulsify brine into oil and to aid in the oil-wetting of drill solids. SDM MUL S is designed to increase emulsion stability, wettability and to aid in fluid loss control.

Applications
SDM MUL S is a secondary emulsifier designed for use in the field with diesel or synthetic base oils. It is typically used with a primary emulsifier, SDM MUL P, to formulate oil-based muds. It provides excellent oil-wetting properties to the invert emulsion system. While the quantity used may vary depending on specific conditions, it is typically used at 2–8 lb/bbl.
