Description
SDM ASFALT PLUS is a Sulfonated Asphalt Sodium made by a special sulphonation process and used primarily as a shale control additive. It is a mud conditioner with high reactivity with shale to prevent/stop the swelling of the shale, provide lubricity and improve the filter cake properties for water- and oil-based drilling fluids. It also reduces the HTHP water loss as it has temperature stability above 400° F.
